Herron Island Provisions

Our mission is to establish a coffee shop and corner store for – and with – the Herron Island community. We fell in love with Herron Island in 2014, purchased a cabin, built anew on this magical spot, and have loved every moment and every season since! In 2017, with a long-term vision, we acquired the only commercially zoned property on the island, a long-shuttered store that many fondly remember. Now we are taking initial steps to move forward - and believe a focus on sustainability and community engagement will be crucial to the viability of this venture.

At this early planning stage, we’re exploring partnerships, grants, and a range of resources to help us get the project up and running. Our purpose-centered approach includes the pursuit of solar energy, use of reused, recycled, and renewable materials, and thoughtful management of waste. With Herron Island Provisions, we aim to be a catalyst for sustainability and community vibrancy.
